DebWrt Debian Packages

Introduction

For newer releases of DebWrt, the Debian packages are stored in a central DebWrt Debian package repository. Even though the root filesystem images provided by DebWrt will include most or all of the DebWrt packages, using a central repository allows a much easier update/upgrade path.

Note: some DebWrt packages available in older release have been depricated; those are not available in the DebWrt debian packages repository. Mostly because Debian has the package now available in their repositories.

Usage

Install Public key

$ wget -q -O - http://packages.debwrt.net/debwrt/dists/debwrt.key | sudo apt-key add -

Add repository

Add the following line (substitute RELEASE with sid, stretch, jessie or wheezy, or any newer debian release name) to /etc/apt/sources.list:

deb http://packages.debwrt.net/debwrt RELEASE-debwrt-stable main

And run:

$ sudo apt-get update

Install a package

$ sudo apt-get install debwrt-test

Browse repository
