Mikrotik routers support virtualization. Mikrotik provides an example openwrt image. A debwrt image is a lot better!
Please support mikrotik metarouter.

Does OpenWrt themselves support this board?

Yes, openwrt supports Mikrotik/RouterOS's METAROUTER virtualization feature.
Please see:

It's been a very long time since the last update on this ticket and I personally couldn't find a word about METAROUTER on debwrt forums. There is only one post: that makes a suggestion to build our own image assuming it should work as long as openwrt works.

I'm fine about that as long as it is directed to an advanced user, but most of us in the community don't have the knowledge or experience as to compile our own kernel and build our own image. Even getting my own hands dirty enough I couldn't even understand the first two paragraphs of the DebWrtDev? Wiki section...

Mikrotik's support for openwrt is very limited and there are tons of mikrotik users hoping to see a Debian port to the METAROUTER! It would be awesome if someone within the DebWrt community can put a couple lines together to help us in the mikrotik world or even provide a working debwrt image for this virtualized architecture.

I can understand that the information provided at the DebWrt site might be rather technical. At this moment I don't have the time to actively work on supporting Microtek routers. Though that virtualization sounds rather awesome.

I can provide help on how to build a firmware or, if needed, create patches in case builds are failing or fixes are needed to get DebWrt going.
